La naissance d'une étoile / Birth of a star

J'en avais déjà parlé sur mon ancien blog: depuis juillet dernier, la carrière artistique de mon très cher Florian prend un vrai départ. Il a été choisi pour incarner Marc-Antoine, le premier rôle masculin dans la nouvelle comédie musicale de Kamel Ouali, Cléopâtre, qui sera à l'affiche du Palais des Sports de Paris à partir du 29 janvier 2009. Après le succès du Roi Soleil, Kamel Ouali semble avoir tous les atouts en main pour faire au moins aussi bien avec ce nouveau spectacle. Il a rassemblé dans son équipe quelques jeunes artistes (relativement) confirmés, comme Sofia Essaïdi (finaliste de la Star Academy 2003), Christopher Stills (fils de Véronique Samson et Stephen Stills, connu aux USA), Medhi Kerkouche (danseur et doublure dans le spectacle Le Roi Soleil)... Au milieu d'eux, Florian fait figure d'outsider. Mais ça ressemble bien à une chance unique pour démarrer une grande carrière artistique...

Ci-dessous, le clip du premier single: "Une femme d'aujourd'hui", par Sofia Essaïdi. Personnellement, je n'accroche pas plus que ça... Mais j'attends surtout les prestations de Florian ! L'album et un second single sont prévus pour juin.

I had already mentioned it on my previous blog: since last July, the artistic career of my dear Florian has really been taking off. He was selected for playing the role of Mark-Anthony, main male character in the new musical play by Kamel Ouali, Cleopatra, a big show that will be on stage at the Palais des Sports in Paris from 29 January 2009 on. After being highly successful with his previous show called "Le Roi Soleil", Kamel Ouali, a very fashionable choreographer, seems to have every card in hand to create another highly popular show. He gathered in his team some young but quite confirmed artists, such as Sofia Essaïdi (finalist in the highly popular reality TV show "Star Academy" back in 2003), Christopher Stills (son of a French singer and of Stephen Stills from the band Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young), Mehdi Kerkouche (dancer and understudy for the second role in Le Roi Soleil),... Among them, Florian looks rather like an outsider. But this feels like a very unexpected and unique chance to start a successful career, doesn't it ?

Here up, the video of the first song from the play: "Femme d'aujourd'hui" (today's woman), by Sofia Essaïdi. Personally, I am not a big fan of that kind of music. But I'm mainly waiting for Florian's parts ! Another video and the full album are planned for next June.
