Hier, six décembre, était le jour de l'Indépendance finlandaise. Je vous ai déjà parlé sur ce blog de la tradition qui accompagne ce jour-là : la Présidente invite tout ce qui compte dans le pays pour un grand bal et prend le temps de serrer la main à chacun des plusieurs milliers d'invités. Les télévisions retransmettent l'événement en direct et chaque année, les journaux élisent les robes les plus remarquables.
Cette année, la palme revient sans conteste à Teija Vesterbacka, l'épouse de Peter, créateur de Rovio et donc papa des Angry Birds. La dame a profité de l'occasion pour faire un joli buzz publicitaire en portant une tenue à l'image des oiseaux colériques qui font la fortune de son mari. Et ca marche, puisqu'on en parle jusqu'aux USA. Voilà une épouse qui va loin pour soutenir le business de son mari !
Yesterday, December 6, was Finland's Independance Day. I already wrote on this blog about the tradition for that occasion: the President invites everyone that matters in the country for a big ball and shakes hands with every single one of her thousands of guests. TV channels broadcast the event live and every year, newspapers highlight the most remarquable dresses.
This year, the prize is certainly awarded to Teija Vesterbacka, wife of Peter, who's the creator of Rovio and therefore father to a successfull flock of Angry Birds. The lady took the President's invitation as an occasion to advertising and wore a gown representing the upset pets of her husband. The (angry) buzz made it all the way to the USA. Here comes a wife ready to go to some length to support her husband's business!
